Guy friend doesn't talk to me anymore! :(?

So me and this guy were becoming really good friends and he used to text me ALL the time.. I almost thought we were gonna start dating but both of us decided we didn't want a relationship. We had a great day together and we had a 'friends with benefits' thing going but then i really started to lik him and when he didn't txt me for a few days I got mad and we agreed it had to stop. then he said he'd txt more and we'd hang out soon but so far its just not like it used to be and i don't know why. Even if he doesn't wanna date me I reallyyy wanna be friends with him and I don't understand why after we were getting close he would do this..well it's been about a week am i overreacting or what? I just miss talking to him and I can't bug him again but why do guys do thiss?? do they want us to be miserable? and its hurting my self-esteem like crazy cause im wondering if he got bored of me even tho i really had fun with him
