Im recovoring from a l hysterectomy. Is what I am feeling normal?

My wife had one and the DR. told her not to do any heavy work for six weeks and no either or you might tare the stiches lose so take it slow and get some one else to do the hard work you can do light jobs but when you do work if you start hurting stop and rest and be lazy . good luck
